Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you. (Isaiah 54:10)

Lightning Round Questions

  1. Sweet or Salty?
Sweet. Chocolate is an important part of my diet.
  2. Winter or Summer?
Winter. Heat and humidity make me very cranky.
  3. What was the last book you read?
I re-read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Still bizarre but funny.
  4. If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would they be?
Jesus, Phil Collins, and my great grandfather Edward who I never met
  5. If you were a superhero, what power would you have?
A weird one: intangibility, the ability to be “ghosty” and have things pass through you or you can pass through things.
  6. Favorite family tradition?
Every December my mom’s extended family has a family reunion where everyone gets together in a rented building and we spend the whole day together to celebrate Christmas. 60+ people, tons of food (Polish and Italian), very loud (Polish and Italian), and a great way to see everyone at least once a year.
  7. What is the top location on your travel bucket list?
I really want to see the sphinx and the pyramids of Giza in Egypt. I want to be close enough to touch them. I want to go inside if they’ll let me.
  8. If you could be president for a day, what would you do?
Appoint a new VP I trust to run things and then resign. I don’t want that job.
  9. If you could time travel, when and where would you go?
I’ve always wanted to go to the Israelite camp beside the mountain where God spoke to his people. Sure, they screamed for Moses to talk to Him instead because they thought God was going to kill them, but to hear His audible voice like that would be amazing.
  10. Favorite Olympic sport to watch?
    Probably gymnastics.
  11. Early bird, or night owl?
    Night Owl
  12. What's something you like to do the old fashioned way?
I make my own pasta sauce. I still use cans of tomato puree and such, but no jarred sauce for me if I can avoid it.
